A challenge that can no longer be ignored
On this occasion, we will bring together healthcare professionals, digital and innovation experts, companies and industry players, institutional representatives and regional policy-makers around a challenge that can no longer be ignored: the digital sovereignty of European healthcare.
Today, a large share of our health data, digital infrastructures and cloud services relies on technologies developed outside Europe. This dependency raises essential questions:
- How do we guarantee the confidentiality and control of our patients' data?
- How do we ensure the resilience of our critical infrastructures?
- How do we keep innovating while preserving our technological independence?
Our objective
Enabling medicine that remains at the service of the patient and, above all, confidential.
We must develop our own capabilities, our own infrastructures and our own standards, so that healthcare professionals can practise in an autonomous and sovereign digital environment.
This vision also applies to artificial intelligence: AI at the service of patients, within an ethical and sovereign framework, guided by a simple principle — the human leads, AI assists.
